What if you’re not starting over? What if you’re simply beginning again? Sometimes the things we do repeatedly can feel unnoticed or insignificant, but consistency is never wasted. This week on Strategies, Connections & Words, we’re talking about the power of beginning again, showing up, praying again, believing again, and building again.
No More Dancing
For me, the starting point was recognizing the places where I had been dancing for acceptance—and didn’t even realize I was doing it.
It showed up in shrinking.
It showed up in allowing people access to me who had no real intention of doing anything other than benefiting from me, my gifts, or my talents when it served them.
It showed up in allowing people to speak down to me. In allowing others to guilt me into adjusting my rates, my offerings, or my boundaries to meet what they labeled as a “need,” when what I was really witnessing was their unwillingness to adjust, grow, or make the necessary investment to become who God had called them to be.
And if I’m honest, this was hard for me.
In the BEcoming: The New Normal
There is no strategy that will allow us to avoid every uncomfortable moment of growth. Sometimes the strategy is not to figure everything out. Sometimes the strategy is to pause long enough to recognize that the discomfort may not mean something is wrong.
Becoming Requires Movement
I've learned that we rarely walk away from a season empty-handed when we've sought God through it. Sometimes the reward is healing. Sometimes it's wisdom. Sometimes it's greater compassion. Sometimes it's the opportunity to encourage someone else because we've already walked the road they're traveling.

Somewhere along the way, the structure that once supported the vision began competing with it. What was originally meant to help people started feeling heavier than the actual call to change lives.

Eternal Speech — Words That Outlast Time
That’s what eternal speech does—it anchors you when everything else sways. It’s training your tongue to match your purpose instead of your problems. It’s learning to speak from your eternal seat, not your temporary situation. Every faith-filled word carries a ripple effect that can outlast you. Revelation 19:6 gives us a glimpse of what that sounds like: a Hallelujah that never ends. Temporary voices fade, but timeless ones carry forward.
Surrendered Thoughts
In a noisy world, it is easy to forget that not every thought deserves a seat at the table of the heart. Scripture reminds us that we are called to “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ,” which is another way of saying that our minds were never meant to be led by lies when they were designed to live in truth. God sees the full picture, while we often see only fragments, and surrendered thoughts are the bridge between our limited perspective and His complete one.
