The REAL You
In this technologically advanced time, we can share every moment with thousands of people across the world in a matter of seconds.
From what we had for dinner last night to our child’s recital, it’s all right there on the screen of your phone, tablets, and laptops as soon as you hit the “post” button.
There’s nothing wrong with sharing your joys with the world. Yet, I often wonder if the social REEL leaves us anything less than REAL? Is the perfect shot, or perhaps the feelings of the viewer of our posts the sole priority? Or is capturing an unforgettable moment the real purpose? Are you being YOU online, or the “you” that scores the “likes” and “views”?
If your life changed drastically tomorrow, would you look back and wish that you had spent more time being present in the moment with your family and friends?
Our name (Minding What Matters) says what we believe …… that we should all mind the things that matter.
This is done by prioritizing the important things in our lives, such as God, family and what God has called us to do in the earth. We do this by choosing to change any actions that are not a reflection of our hearts and the things that matter most to us.
Today, take a moment and examine what your priorities are.
