Strategies, Connections & Words: The Have Knots

Before we begin, a quick update: Saturday’s Strategies, Sunday’s Stay Connected, and Monday’s Words Create are now being combined into one Sunday SCW email/blog. This new rhythm helps create one focused message each week and makes it easier to stay connected with you in a more intentional way. Thank you for continuing this journey with me.

This week, we are sitting with the tension of the have knots — the places where life feels tangled, unfinished, or harder than we expected. But what if the knots are not proof that something is wrong? What if they are evidence that God is weaving something new?

Strategies of Rest

There are moments when the strongest strategy is not pushing harder, fixing faster, or forcing clarity. Sometimes the wisest thing we can do is rest enough to remember that we are not the ones responsible for holding every thread together.

The knots in our lives can tempt us to believe we have to untangle everything ourselves. Yet rest invites us to release the pressure of producing the pattern. God is not asking us to carry what only He can weave.

So this week, let rest look like surrender. Let it be a pause that says, “Lord, I trust You even here.” Let it be the quiet decision to stop striving in our own strength and start leaning into His.

Connections That Matter

Knots can make us feel isolated, but transformation was never meant to happen alone. We are created for connection — with God, with others who strengthen us, and with those we are called to encourage along the way.

This week is a reminder that connection is not just about receiving support. It is also about becoming a safe place for someone else. Sometimes the very person we pour into is the one God uses to sharpen us, stretch us, or remind us that we are still growing.

So as you move through this week, think about the relationships that help you breathe easier, pray deeper, and stand stronger. Ask God to show you where He is inviting you to be both supported and supportive. Healthy connection is part of the healing.

Words That Declare

Words matter. They shape how we see, how we speak, and how we move through what is in front of us. This week, we will speak life over the knots, not fear over them.

Declaration for the week:

I declare that I will not be ruled by the knots in my life.
I declare that God is weaving purpose into what feels tangled.
I declare that I will rest in His strength, walk in His rhythm, and trust His timing.
I declare that my words will agree with His truth, not my frustration.
I declare that what feels knotted today is still in the hands of the One who makes all things beautiful.

Romans 8:28 reminds us that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. That includes the confusing parts, the slow parts, and the places we cannot yet understand.

If your life feels knotted right now, do not assume you are failing. You may simply be in the middle of being transformed. The underside of the tapestry rarely looks like the finished work, but that does not mean beauty is not coming.

So rest. Stay connected. Speak life. And trust the Weaver.
