Giant Killer

Often when we are facing the giants of our lives we tend to focus on the vastness of their stature.  Or the power that they “appear” to have.  Yet, I want to encourage you today to consider the “YOU” that will exist on the other side of the fight!

One of my most favorite parts in the story of David and Goliath is in I Samuel 17:25-27 when David asked what will be given to the man who kills this giant.  I love this so much, because I now realize that David was asking what will my reward be…..who will I become after this?

The answer was that David would have great wealth, he would become the husband of the king’s daughter and he would receive generational wealth to pass on to his entire family forever. As they would never again have to pay taxes to the king.

What if you faced your giant and everything on the other side of the battle is exactly what you have been believing God for?  Generational wealth, change in status and love?  What if all of that is waiting for you on the other side of the ”inner work” that God has been putting on your heart to do?

I am here to tell you that only greater is ahead. So do the work; slay your giants and become all that God has created you to be.
