Degrees of Wholeness
Have you ever wondered when you would reach that state of complete wholeness? When nothing is wrong, and everything is right in the world??
I know what that feels like. The chase of something that seems so far out of reach. But I wondered if you had considered that the greatest sense of wholeness comes after being broken? I know, I know… it doesn’t even sound right. Wholeness literally means, to be in an unbroken state or to be undamaged.
Yet, what if in your broken state, you become unbreakable and stronger than ever? Oh, it is indeed possible. Through God all things are possible, including your wholeness.
I encourage you today to not cover up your current state of brokenness. Whether it occurred at the hands of someone else, or due to your own actions, for there is hope.
While attending an event one of the presenters told a story of pottery created from broken pieces. She told how a broken vase was reassembled with gold material. Each piece carefully placed back together. When the vase was represented to its owner, it was more beautiful than before, as light now shown through the areas that had once been broken. The light reflected the thin layer of gold that now held it together.
The owner of the vase was overcome by the beauty of the new piece. We were then told how the material used to put the pieces of this vase back together had now made it unbreakable. The potter’s work made the value of the vase increase.
Every situation that you have walked through, including the one you may currently be in, increases your value, as God will use it to bring Him glory as you share your story to encourage others to keep going.
Do not despise your brokenness. Give it to Jesus (our heart’s potter) and let him make a masterpiece out of your brokenness.
